A native of Missouri and longtime resident of Los Angeles, New Orleans and most recently Charleston, South Carolina, we have been delighted to see much more of him in recent years.
Along with his wife Anna Beth, he has been spending more time in London — initially thanks to his work. He recently filmed the dark comedy Digger here; it will be released in theatres on October 2. In it, he plays the American President and co-stars with Tom Cruise, who portrays a billionaire intent on preventing a global disaster.
